São Tomé & Príncipe
It is the lost world, a two-island nation that floats in the Gulf of Guinea 700Km from mainland west Africa as a home to just 7000 people. The islands blend natural splendor with long withstanding history as a previous Portuguese colony discovered in 1470 through verdant rainforest canopies, white remote beaches, abandoned colonial buildings and of course the singular standing primordial rock. For ecotourists STP should not be missed.

How to Get There
It's possible to arrange a direct flight from Lisbon to São Tomé island and these typically run once a day during the higher season with travel time taking approximately five hours. Whilst São Tomé is the main island, Príncipe is smaller, more wild and remote, host to a boho beach shack boutique hotel. To reach the island of Príncipe you will need to take a 35 minute flight using the islands local airline. Epic can assist in incorporating both islands into your travel itinerary.
