Trekking in the High Atlas
The High Atlas is the highest and most extensive range of mountains in North Africa. Its highest peak, Jebel Toubkal, sits at 4167m above sea level and its surrounding National Park presents a range of exciting hiking possibilities. But this is just the tip of the iceberg, as Morocco is home to numerous other ranges of mountains through which we organise expeditions and short adventures to suit all levels of experience.

Mountain Biking Adventures
Epic started out life as a mountain biking company and we’ve continued to expand our repertoire of routes and trails down the years. With the introduction of e-biking, road biking and gravel variations on the theme, more possibilities have opened up for a wider audience. From single day routes in the Toubkal National Park to long trips from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara, a wealth of possibilities can be customised to requirement.

Wilderness Survival
In today’s digital world, many (including us!) have embraced a back-to-nature approach to life, and there’s no better way than to learn the basics of wilderness survival in some of Morocco’s superb desert and mountain environments. Working with specialist guides you can learn the rudiments, including fire lighting methods, shelter building and wilderness food preparation.

Walking with Nomads
Twice yearly, the Ait Atta tribe of nomads migrate in search of pastureland for their flocks of sheep and goats. Special relationships that we have cultivated over the last decade give our guests the unique opportunity to experience life on-the-move with Zaid and his family. The week-long migration takes place in the enchanting Jebel Saghro mountain range, a highly charged landscape of table top mountains and volcanic peaks.

Hot Air Ballooning
There is no better start to the day than a hot air balloon flight at sunrise. Balloons fly with the wind and with no feeling of wind resistance, the tranquility is sublime. Flights offer a bird’s eye view of desert farmsteads and sweeping views out towards the High Atlas Mountains, and can be organised on a privatised basis or as a shared experience with others.

River Rafting
Whilst Morocco is not generally known for its waterways, in spring time the rivers of the Central High Atlas swell with meltwater from the surrounding snowcapped peaks. The Ahansal River provides offers some of the country’s best scenery and our 4-day river camping adventure gives a unique and unsual perspective on rural Morocco.
